We have a 2nd home in a very small Mississippi town. I was having a conversation with my neighbor and I asked well what's the latest news around town. He answered "the number of funerals". I said "what"? He said he's never attended so many funerals of family and friends. It seems like there's one every week now. How old are the folks dying I asked? He said they were "too young to die". They were in their 40s, 50s & 60s. Sad because I believe I know what the common denominator is!

I attended the funeral of a family friend earlier this week. (She was in her nineties and had taken a bad fall and never recovered.) What was odd was we did the graveside service which was short and sweet only to turn around and find another funeral procession waiting in line for us to vacate the area. Like an assembly line. It was weird.
