The current deadline to complete the merger is September 2023. The vote for extension will extend it to September 2024 (1 year extension).
The original vote scheduled for today was to announce whether or not we had enough votes 65% to extend to September 2024. It is assumed we do not as they are going to continue until the official deadline to try and raise the votes.
Many brokers havent reported yet. They hold the votes until last minute. So it was a possible strategic play to have multiple rounds of voting as it forces brokers to report how people voted to ensure we get all the numbers correct by the deadline.
