Insurance would be a very ineffective way to get funding.

1. There is a lot of auditing/oversight, especially w publicly traded companies
2. Margins are not high, most insurance companies are 1 catastrophe away from being in the red (health insurance companies have even lower margins and have to make money elsewhere)
3. A lot of people inside insurance companies have access to the books and there aren't a lot of places to offload money
4. Insurance companies (at least the big ones) are EXTREMELY cost sensitive (hence why ur rates go up and they offer you discounts for paperless billing)
