I think a house burns down. Or it doesn’t. I can understand the flames missing some houses completely. You’ve seen it from every wildfire ever.
But if a house does catch fire in those conditions, how would it extinguish itself half way through burning?
You can’t be “a little bit pregnant.”
Actually, most of your furnishings have a fire retardant on them. Carpets, chairs, sofas.... Yes homes burn down but they don't usually disappear to nothing. Lots of stuff smolders but won't be a source for flames or high heat.
Not sure you realize how hot and intense this fire was. Fire retardant is designed to stop your sofa from igniting if you drop a cigarette on it. Won’t do squat to stop a raging inferno. That’s ludicrous.
A big house in my neighbourhood recently burned down. All that was left was the concrete pad, basement walls and a pile of dust. The carpet and chairs were deceased.
