Walmart never enforced a mask mandate the first time around. I shopped there several times per week during the original psyop and all they did was offer me a mask. I told them I was good, and they moved on. Sam's Club also did not enforce any mask mandate. The only place I went that did was Costco and I made them refund my membership fee.
It definitely depended on what walmart. I never masked, stopped at a walmart on my way home from a friends, I was the only one without a muzzle in the sardine-packed place. A manager even tracked me down at the back of the store and to tell me I had to wear one. I told them no, that my health information was none of their business, and just continued shopping as they tried to argue. Everyone was staring at me, and I just laughed, I couldn't fathom their compliance, I still don't.
Costco greeters would prompt you that they just take your word if you have a medical issue that prevents you from wearing a mask. They recommended a mask and assume you are exempt if you don't wear it.
I'm in a state that never followed the mandates, but Costco was full Nazi. I had very loud arguments because they were the only enterprise in my state that demanded masks. I made a point of wearing Trump gear to exaggerate the point and had the support of the majority of their customers when I went there. After about a dozen encounters with the mask Nazis, I made them refund my membership. I have 5 Super Walmart's and a Sam's Club plus BJ's is about to open so fuck Costco for life. Costco was always more expensive than Sam's Club, so I have no need for them. The only thing I found at Costco that I couldn't find for less was throw pillows.
