I disagree with Pepe's first point... it does NOT set any kind of "precedent". What (they) are doing is lawfare, bullshit charges and dictator like behavior. Q and Trump have always said that things must be done "legally" and this is not "legal".
I agree with everything else, especially the last one.
The precedent is that presidents can be arrested. White hats will have an even stronger case when they do it legally. It eliminates that whole presidents are above the law mindset.
I see your point and I agree but that brings up another topic...since when do we need PRECEDENT to ENFORCE THE LAW? That's what happens when justice is "bought and paid for ". I sure will be glad when this whole miserable system is burned to the ground, there's no "fixing it".
I agree it shouldn't be to enforce the laws. However we are currently finding out how to go about enforcing the laws. Things like mugshots being taken, bail being allowed, reporters in courtrooms..all sorts of stuff. Since this has never happened before we don't have a proper way to go about it because there are certain things that make it unique. So the left screams Trump should have mugshot taken. So now Obama can have his mugshot taken. If we started with them then the left would say things like...but he is a president. Or stuff like that. I completely agree the laws should be able to be enforced though. However we are in the mess we are can't change that. In order to come out of it we must figure out what that looks like. That's where Trump comes in.
It's not about the law, it's about optics. The point is to wake people up and expose the corruption. The DS is doomed when they lose public support.
