Victor Hansen Davis said exactly that as I recall about the time Trump announced he was running. Paraphrasing: He is a man people may not like, or may even loathe, but he is the man for the time. The ONLY man capable of doing what needs to be done. I wonder if people who hate him will be able to grasp and make peace with this.

My son hated him with the red hot fury of a full blown RHEEEEE liberal. About a year ago he told me I can't stand the guy but I'd vote for him over Biden. He hasn't said he LIKES him yet, but he's grudgingly bought a ticket for the Trump train.
