Oliver Anthony switched handedness a few months w — any ideas?

The new hotness in town and I love the music but some of his older videos he is left handed.

I am a mediocre guitarist and fairly ambidextrous but I couldn’t switch hands yet alone find a guitar like that that looks the same. Only explanation I have at this point is wag the dog? What the hell is going on?

but from the perspective of the guitarist. how does the handedness of what is plucking the strings change because of this? i spent some time with my teenage son trying to reproduce with our guitars and selfie/normal camera modes but cannot figure out how one can make a guitarist switch hands like this.
