I've worked with {or against} OSHA for 30 years.
We were never allowed to wear those blue masks for somthing as simple as cutting plywood{you may inhale sawdust and any chemical from pressure treated lumber }
N95 are only okay for minor things. Full respirators are recommended for anything hazardous.
They went completely against this during covid, insisting everyone wear a paper mask on the job site, indoors.
When questioned on why their policy had suddenly changed, I was told to leave if i didn't want to follow the guidelines.
