Think of Saul, a persecutor of Christians, who became Paul, after much suffering and repentance and then became a gigantic stalwart of Jesus Christ. Or, think of Moses, who felt self-conscious of his halting speech and how he could ever lead. But Moses had the strength and the wisdom needed. The founding fathers, spiritual giants but also with flaws, but with the intellect guided by God to create the inspired declaration of independence and the constitution. Then Lincoln, who had lost and struggled, had many problems in his life, yet had the wisdom and determination, guided by a faith in God and a knowledge of our constitution to save the US during and after the Civil War. It is just amazing to see flawed people (there are no other kind) do marvelous things, the greatest generation, so many examples.
Absolutely fren! When God called Moses to lead the Israel to the Promised Land Moses was 80 or the youth of David to slay a giant...age or past background doesn't matter when God Annoites His Warriors!
Amen and Amen.
