If there is a way to burn a building down with a smart meter, is there a way to remotely use the car computer to burn the car? I have no idea, I am just throwing this thought out there.
If the computer fed continuous DC to the coil packs that might do it. Something will fail, whether the fuse, the computer, or the coil pack. The most engines have a plastic cover on top now, above the coil packs.

Yes on the first question. As far as cars, I've not looked into the ability to burn a car yet.
But as far as remotely controlling a car, yes, that technology is not only available but implemented.
If you don't make the payment on your Tesla, it will remotely drive it back to the dealership.
