Well, I guess the thermite could have been tailored to its job. It could have been put down before the winds and fire in a way that kept it in place. I’m no arsonist, but I think this readily available material is an arsonist’s ideal weapon.
I could definitely see them having their arsonists scatter some of that stuff around. Another thing I am suspicious of is, where are all the Ring doorcam videos? Cell phone videos of anything odd before the fires started / during the fires? The home security cams? Business cams? And cameras on gov't buildings (these can be FOIA'd, they are public record)?

Exactly! Some would have melted, but the ones across the street would have footage.
And in many cases the videos would be stored on a server somewhere, except for CCTV footage
