In a 5th generation war, a war with the same real death as other wars with bombs and bullets, one of the greatest weapons to combat propaganda is the ability to use discernment.
Did Eisenhower know that men would die on the beaches of Normandy? Was invading Europe and beating back the Germans worth the risk of certain deaths? Do people die in battles to ultimately win wars?
Like it or not, everyone in the world is a soldier in the global information war. We do not get to choose to stay at home while soldiers go off to fight. The fight is all around us, and all the world's a stage.
