My guess is Tucker hit a little too close to one of [their] core lies and they are hoping it quickly washes away from public consciousness...

I just dont see the point of it. The whole thing is ridiculous. Even if obama snorted cocaine, banged dudes, married a tranny, and adopted 2 kids that he pretended were biological... the guy isnt running for anything, and never will again! These decades old accusations are just as spurious as the blasey-ford ones, but at least the democrats had the sense to only run smear campaigns against opponents being considered for high office.
What it probably is, from a high level view, is an attempt to reveal obama as a drug addicted, gay sex addict for the purpose of linking him to his dead chef. It would be very hard to get the public to accept obama killed his chef in a gay love triangle if they dont even know he's gay.
