I was at Rite Aid today picking up a prescription. The people working in the pharmacy are masked up again except for a few. The older lady who they were waiting on was questioning if she needed an appointment for the flu shot.
They told her no there are no appointments for any shots. One of the pharmacists stated we can do it right now if you want.
The older lady pointed her finger at the pharmacist and waved it at her and stated, "don't you dare give me a covid shot or put any of that in there. I want the old lady flu shot".
As the woman walked away she looked at me and apologized.
I told her I don't blame you one bit.
People are understanding more and more.
I have had exactly one flu shot. My freshman year of college, I went into the on-campus health center for something unrelated...the nurse convinced me to get a flu shot because final exams were a few days away. Well, I got the flu, from the flu shot (no one else I knew got sick). So I had to take my finals sick as a dog. Never again. My mom used to get one every year. I have finally broken her of that routine, yay! She used to get sick all the time. Now I don't think she's even had a cold for over a year.
Great. You need to see this is all about the money.
