Yup. Shady underhanded tactics. They overstepped by abusing powers of the office to enforce an agenda. They could get away with it for a while because it takes time for people to start filing lawsuits, and the courts weren't friendly to covid dissidents, so it was a shit situation.
Yeah once the first lawsuit was won in favor of a business the floodgates opened. Once a restaurant near us had re-opened anyway and everyone saw them doing massive business without getting shut down every week more and more and more nearby started re-opening.
