In NJ they placed traffic cameras at nearly every intersection.
Eventually enough people went to court and fought the tickets and they supposedly discontinued their use for traffic violations. {They are supposed to be fully disconnected but I highly doubt they are}
They were found to violate a person's privacy and only existed for profit {of course}
Long story even longer, had these not been legally discontinued there were many who were going to do something very similar to what's happening in the UK now.
So that at least gives me some hope that at the end of the day, people will stand against shit like this.
