It been a while since I studied this, but as I recall IVM also interferes with viral replication inside of the cell.

Yes, it might.

I was just trying to explain how different drugs can have different effects on different illnesses and why an anti-helminth successfully treating cancer doesn't necessarily mean that cancer is caused by parasites.

Absolutely! Vitamin D takes on 4 or 5 different confirmations as it is processed by your body, each having a unique set of functions. I'm sure we will be unfolding our understanding of how ivm works for decades to come.
