Most internal combustion engines are only between 20% to 30% percent efficient. Doubling the efficiency and using lighter materials (aluminum, carbon fiber, buckypaper) would make 100 mpg easily attainable. Match that with solid state battery hybrid drive and who knows what kind of crazy high mpg cars could get.
Need to eliminate the CAFE standards in the USA.
This will allow all those tiny cars and pickups that we used to make to be a viable alternative for us.
Plus they need to seriously reduce the crap that is required on cars.
