As one of the comments under the article says: "A piece that shamelessly combines lingering anxiety by some over potential pre-disposition to suffer ill effects from a virus, with an ad for over-the-counter genetic ancestry kits."
Yeah - quick - go get your DNA test and send it in to the company that will give the results to China, CIA, whoever wants it.
"It is estimated that 16% of people in Europe and 50% of people in South Asia have the particular sequence on chromosome III, with 63% of Bangladeshis having these gene sequences. However, North Africans sub Saharan Africans, West Asians, and East Asians feature the presence of the chromosome in very negligible amounts.1 The percentage of Neanderthal DNA in modern humans is zero or close to zero in people from African populations, and is about 1 to 2 percent in people of European or Asian background. The percentage of Denisovan DNA is highest in the Melanesian population (4 to 6%), lower in other Southeast Asian and Pacific Islander populations, and very low or undetectable elsewhere in the world.2 Modern Africans carry an average of 17 million Neanderthal base pairs, which is about a third of the amount the team found in Europeans and Asians." - Brave search summary
Those of us who have military backgrounds have had the cheek swab "in order to identify and repatriate remains and preclude any more unknown soldiers". Also dental records. Do you think that the DoD cleaned up their data base when I retired?
Yeah, me neither.
I have often wondered how many of the DNA links that solve criminal cases might actually be from DoD records and NOT from commercial enterprises?
This question I've had for awhile which is sorta related....my husband and I laughed our asses off years ago when ppl were going ham with the 23-and-me testing. We warned our kids never to do it and they agreed. Protecting your DNA is important. But my Mom/ siblings I'm sure all got it done because they have this libtard need to feel special I guess. So my question: if they got it done, and we KNOW those samples are being cataloged, will those be linked on to those of us who refused because of our relationships to those who fell for the scam? Long winded, sorry. Just wondering if anyone knows.
Good question. Most of the Libtards in my family did the testing, and I have no idea why they thought it necessary. We know where our great grandparents came from, and our ethnicities are no secret. I believe the results can be linked to other, untested family members. I don't recall exactly but people have found long lost relatives, and LE has found criminals through family members DNA results.
Ugh that stinks. I don't have many selfish wishes, but one I DO have is to be left the hell alone. You work your whole life to protect the important stuff, keep your kids safe, teach them well, and help them do the same with their kids, only to be screwed at the end by some relative in Seattle who just HAD to know where he inherited his stinky feet and bald spot. Vanity and arrogance attach themselves to everyone. Even innocent bystanders.
Everyone has them. Subsaharan Africans not having any was not correct, it turned out. They were like the Irish: they fucked around, and found...their way into everybody's family tree.
More ambient fear porn.
