The new findings fly in the face of the 2011 analysis of 44 children aged between 12 and 15 years old which claimed that there had been “no changes in psychological function” after the youngsters were put on puberty blockers.

Which the original findings weren't justification to push this in the first place. Depressed, troubled, suicidal kids being given a medication that had "no changes in psychological function" means it's ineffective for the stated reasoning to give them it.

Literally: Hey Doc I'm bleeding to death. "Here take this, it doesn't make the bleeding any worse."
