IMO it's also a little odd even for a tightly edited piece that not one single remark on the unmentionable, nauseating stench of rotting human corpses found its way into the discussion. That has to have been among the most memorable things—not only about this experience, but in each witness's life overall—how did they go two sentences without mentioning it?
