Yes. The desensitization has been done to us and our children via many avenues:

Showing kids being disrespectful to teachers and parents on TV, women dressing and acting in a degrading manner, violent video games where blood spatters everytime you shoot someone, gratuitous, excessive violence in movies & TV, music that glorifies depravity and sexual promiscuity, etc.

And the worst - access to XXX stuff on the internet where little kids and teens come across it without even asking for it.
