I caught a few minutes of "The Big Short", and wondered if anyone was jailed for what the banks did. I came to this article:
And when looking at the list of names, they are all foreign except for one American. Anyone have any thoughts on this? My guess is that the Americans had too many connections to politicians, and the single American on the list, didn't, so they just went after foreigners to make it seem like they were "doing something about it". Kind of interesting that Iceland, such a small country, would have so many people involved with the banking industry.
Bankers jailed? Has to be fiction.
