I mean I get the sentiment. I do. But it’s easy to say that when you aren’t the one who needs to wrestle a mental case with a club.

Shame the dude died. And to the point of the family. It most definitely could have been handled better.

It also highlights something though. Since the demise of Asylums and really passable Mental Healthcare in general in the U.S. The people who usually end up interacting with mental cases the most outside family and therapists. Usually end up being Cops or Security Guards. And for the most part. They either aren’t trained to, or only trained in the barebones basics, to deal with mental cases.

Which is how we end up with tragic cases like this.
