Wow I have a Christmas cookie tin thst I keep putting back on a shelf in my garage. My garage is so organized I hate clutter and everytime I go to throw it away I end up saying maybe I’ll use it as a container for big bolts or something . Thank you for letting me know !!

Maybe. Ideally, the object you need to isolate should be completely surrounded by metal.

If it is not then you also need to take into account the wavelength of the radiation.
