I think it's quite possible, but not so cut and dry.

Here are a few anecdotes, not sure if directly addresses the topic.

1. I remember from personal experience that certain employees with a high interaction rate with the public sector were either mandated, or offered, the vaccines prior to roll out the to the general public. (Doctors, nurses, teachers, police, pilots, flight attendants, etc.) These folks, along with other demographic groups (old people, black people, etc.) were given "priority" status in receiving the vaccine. I really think the initial prioritizing of who "could" get it made it more sought after by those who were not in the initial priority group once they were "eligible." (The Bandwagon propaganda approach.) During this time, I worked in the public sector interacting with hundreds per day. I was among the first to be "offered" the vax as it rolled it, but I declined. The majority of my coworkers, though, (90% or so) went straight for the vax (and boosters) as soon as they were "offered." You would've thought they were handing out money instead of an experimental vaccine that is not really a vaccine at all. I was part of the the 10% who declined but "opted" for the biweekly testing in order to keep my job. (I was fortunate, though, in that all the lab techs were a lot younger than me and every time I was tested I asked them not to stick that Qtip too far up my nose and they did not. Barely got snot on the swab, actually.) Anyhow, of the 90% of my coworkers who took the jab, I am aware of about 5% who experienced adverse reactions -- mostly disruption and/or abnormalities to menstrual cycles, and at least one who experienced neurological issues. Again, this was the first roll out. But the menstrual issues seemed related to the J & J vax and the neurological to the Moderna. This scenario is in a RED county in a BLUE state.

2.) I know a pharmacist who works in the pharmacy of a grocery store chain. During the first roll outs s/he was appalled when the pharmaceutical rep pulled out vials of the vax right from his/her coat pocket. (This was during the time when they were emphasizing that the vax vials needed to be kept at below freezing temperatures.) I have no idea whether those vials were administered, but I suspect they were. Again, RED county, BLUE state.

3.) I have an adult stepchild who is a nurse in a major hospital 2500 miles across the country. Had just finished nursing school and was applying for jobs when the "pandemic" happened. BLUE county/BLUE state. Was offered a 20K sign on bonus to start and on the COVID ward. S/he had to take the jab and the booster(s) in order to get hired and keep his/her job. (Pfizer.) Since then, step child has had several major medical emergencies, including a ruptured spleen not caused by injury and about six months later prolonged illness/hospital stay with a mysterious illness during which they put him/her on the oncology unit as at first it seemed s/he may have leukemia. Then that seemed to clear up and s/he was told s/he had fibrous blood clots in the lungs. (Blood thinners for that.) Another few days in the hospital before s/he took a turn for the better. For this stay, my spouse traveled to sit bedside while I gathered all the vax injury info and doctors I could get. Stepchild was/is receptive to a few of them, but I don't think s/he can entirely bring themselves to believe the vax to blame. It is as though the mind simply cannot accept the implications. I'm terrified stepchild will have to take more boosters each year to keep their job. I worry about my spouse, too, if they were to lose said child. I pray for all daily.
