Take one of those mesh bags and put lemon peels in. Tie up the mesh bag and put it in your dishwasher when you wash your dishes. Change out the lemon peels every couple of days, because they go bad. But that citric acid in the lemon peels gets your dishes sparkling.
I wonder if you can simply buy the big lemon-juice bottles (or a bunch of the little yellow plastic ones shaped like lemons) and squeeze the juice in with the detergent? Then you wouldn't have to deal with peels, and buying lemons all the time.
I'm not sure, but in our house we use lemons for a lot of things, such as fresh squeezed lemonade, guacamole, and margarita mix, to name a few, so we buy them weekly. If I have too many lemons ryan's, I put them in the freezer and use them at a later date. But I always use them in the dishwasher because it's the oils in the actual lemon peel that works.
Would buying lemon oil work, then? 🤔
I only said fresh lemon rinds. I've never used anything but fresh lemon rinds or frozen ones.
