He’s mad because enough Democrats were (and are) willing to work with Trump-supporting Republicans that the deep state has lost control of the house.

The best they could do was have a Democrat + “radical right” vote line. If the Democrat line was to stay out of it and the Republican line was to support McCarthy, both parties would have split.

All they could do was try to maintain an appearance of division.
