The White House is trying to knock down any suggestion that $6 billion in Iranian assets it unfroze as part of a prisoner swap last month has anything to do with the terror attack Hamas carried out on Israel.
Several Republican presidential candidates and other officials pinned part of the blame for Saturday's violence on President Joe Biden and his administration's overtures to Iran, the top sponsor of terrorism in the world. Former President Donald Trump, in particular, argued that "American taxpayer dollars helped fund these attacks."
The Biden Admn is gonna have to try harder. It's pretty obvious who's funding Hamas.
Perfect opportunity for Iran, a partner of Russia to blow up a couple of tankers in Straits of Hormuz and blame it on Israel in retaliation for blowing up Nordstream 2.
Would not hurt China, another partner, who buys oil from Russia but would hurt the U.S. a lot.
It always pissed me off the someone would say, "We need to start drilling for oil, and build more refineries in the U.S.A, and a opposing politician would say that it would not do us any good because it would take X amount of years for the wells, and refineries to start producing. Well they started saying that 50 or more years ago, and still fall back on the same argument.
Kerry exposed it when Obummer did it.
