We are in Biblical times. Israel has One that neither sleeps or slumbers to protect them not because the people are righteous but because of God's promise to Abraham AND Israel is God's land and He said it was His. We are just before entering the 70th week of Daniel and people need to be awakened or left behind.
I not only believe in God but I also believe God. God said Israel is His chosen people, the church is "grafted" into Israel. Salvation is of the Jews according to Jesus. The Jews rejected Jesus when He came and be thankful they did because it opened the way for Gentiles to come to God. God is not through with Israel. They will be tried through the fire of the Tribulation but they will eventually recognize Jesus as the Messiah and He will deliver them. Rom. 9-11 and Rev. 4-22.
Thanks! I just taught a 40 week series on Romans. Look at the olive tree - unbelieving "Jews" are the broken off branches. The believing "Gentiles" were grafted in "among" the believing "Jews". There is neither "Jew" nor "Greek". The mystery Paul was referring to is how the "Jew" and "Gentile" were together, part of one tree - the Israel of God.
