People have been raised on the idea that someone, some powerful good all-knowing being, will magically show up and come to the rescue.
Nobody is coming. If we want Justice... then it's Just Us. We have to make it happen. Keep revealing the truth. Keep waking people up. Keep holding public officials accountable. Keep insisting that the propaganda news actually report some truth once in a while. Get involved.
I've been thinking this for a while. I think it plays in with the "savior coming in at the last minute before precipice theme," and it's so much a part of our culture that we assume it will take place at some point.
