Indeed. The Daily Wire strikes me as a contemporary take on the "controlled op" legacy media. In other words, Fox News for a new generation. It was especially telling when they were vigorously promoting DeSantis over Trump shortly after the former announced his presidential run. They did so in lockstep with both the fake news and several other "conservative" commentators, at times using the exact same wording, as if reading from the same script.
