I just started working at a small hardware store just outside of Birmingham Alabama. There are no safety or contingency plans in place for what to do if we have a violent attack, et cetera.
I AM carrying, even though it's against the rules. Of course. I will not tell anybody.
There are no code words or radio codes for those of us working at the front, such as an alert for incoming threats, to take cover, etc.
I don't want to reinvent the wheel, and I am sure someone here has already invented what I'm talking about?
Any input as to how to even approach management and a copy of a handout or template would be great.
Doe's the hardware store have the "no guns allowed" sign posted in clear view on the front door?
If not, there are no rules against it.
He probably means its in the employee handbook, or was said during some sort of orientation. The point though is they have no disaster/emergency plans
Hopefully you'll never have such an incident.
Not sure how you'd go about bringing up the possible situation to the owner/management, but I certainly suggest having an extra mag or five tucked away and equally important....practice, practice, practice!
