I discovered it a year or so before Covid, to treat mites on my dog. I followed a suggestion to use Cow Dip on him externally. Then about 6 months later, I was reading online reviews on shampoo to treat lice. One of the kids had it and the over the counter remedies weren't working. Someone suggested using Ivermectin. That word sounded familiar...I looked at the Cow Dip bottle and there it was, "Ivermectin". I still didn't know how to pronounce it, ha. But I added some to shampoo and had the best lice treatment ever, it worked after the first dose while all the others failed.
Then came the drama of Covid and I kept hearing that word again. Learned the difference between the external dip, the drinkable injection, and the tasty paste. It's now my first defense against colds and flu or for a detox as needed. Use it externally too and also use it once in awhile on dogs. Wish it killed fleas but at least it does a number on mites.
Interesting article about treating such horrible tropical diseases. A very good read, thanks for posting!
Your welcome fren
I do 2 courses (5 days) 10 days apart every 4 months for intestinal parasites. I work in the dirt and parasites are the likely cause of my intestinal problems. Works great and my gut feels better than it has in 25 years.
I also take pure pine gum turpentine.
I like to take a doze once a year. Keeps things running good inside ya.
But do you wear leather on those days?
Are you doing that dose regularly? I just do 2 weeks during flu season.
The Amish rub it right into their skin.
Horse noises kek.
And a further benefit is you can claim Japanese nationality after you take it.
Slacker.

As a long time horse person, I began using Ivermectin approx 25 yrs ago. I've only had one cold in the past 12 yrs. No flu, no chyna virus. Also, no doctors.
Is it well known for treating colds and flu in the horse community?
No, horses don't get colds or flu as we know it. It's used to treat internal and sometimes external parasites. There is a type of equine flu that is highly contagious, but quite rare and is treated with antibiotics.
Oh, I meant, have horse owners been taking Ivermectin themselves to treat colds? A knowledge that us non-horse people learned after Covid hit? Or ya'll were only giving it to livestock?
30 odd years ago an old horseman friend told me of the benefits of Ivermectin regarding human intestinal parasites and said it's a good idea to dose with it every couple of months. Until chyna virus suddenly appeared I didn't realize either that it was beneficial in fighting colds, cancer, etc. Now I dose with that and fenbendazole monthly.
Wow, great story. Your friend was very wise.
