So Hamas hang-gliders flew into a stadium and shot up the place. Don't hang-gliders have to launch from a plane or some high position?

They were in tandem paramoters. On guy flies the other had his AK shooting people on the ground.
It wouldn't matter if they had a machine gun. They fly in a straight line, and it is easy as hell to hit things that cannot maneuver quickly with a rifle. Even a bolt action could have filled them with holes, and Israel had three days warning they were coming.
