I am not saying I agree with him entirely, but when it comes to the olivet discourse in Matthew 24, I can only conclude that Jesus was speaking about the events of the fall of Jerusalem and the destruction of the temple in 70 AD. Matthew 24:34 makes it pretty clear he isn't talking about any time future to us:
Truly, I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things take place.

Would you be willing to state your case? I am certainly open to different ways of thinking about this. But I just don't see any way of applying anything in Matthew 24 to a prophesy that is future to us when verse 34 says that everything he just said would happen within the lifetime of those who were listening to him speak. And moreover, everything Jesus prophesied would occur did in fact occur in 70 AD.
