Ezekiel 36:24 was not fulfilled in 1948. The fulfillment of that prophecy was inaugurated in the first century outside the walls of Jerusalem, and will be consummated in the new heavens and new earth. To deny that is to ignore the interpretive lens of the apostles in the New Testament, concerning the reality and fulfillment of God's original land and seed promises to Abraham.

Read Galatians 3-4, and the book of Hebrews. The fulfillment was in Christ and his kingdom, as Hebrews calls it a heavenly mount Zion and a heavenly city. Abraham by faith sought a better country than the Palestinian real estate on earth. The physical land was a type, a model, of what was truly being promised. Israel as the constituted people of God was also but an imperfect picture and type of redeemed men and women among all the nations who through faith in Christ have God dwelling in their midst. Christ, by the way, is the one who tore down all barriers between Jew and Gentile.

"in Christ Jesus the blessing of Abraham might come to the Gentiles, so that we might receive the promised Spirit through faith."

"There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. And if you are Christ's, then you are Abraham's offspring, HEIRS according to promise."

Who is the Israel of God? ALL who are in Christ Jesus by faith. What do they receive? ABRAHAM's promised inheritance. Heaven itself.
