To me, being based is how you act, not how many statues or idols you have.
It's having principles that are based in reality and conviction in them. Being (firmly) based.
The statues and monuments symbolize and externalize what is interior to the people.
Truth, Justice, Beauty are immaterial, but they are memorialized in the architecture and monuments. Take the great cathedrals of Europe, they symbolize the great Christian faith of the people who poured out their wealth and labor in creating these labors of love to glorify God.
Would you prefer the freemasonic deification of the founding fathers?

Integrity. It’s wonderful that Christian ideals can be cultivated alongside American freedoms, I’m fine with whatever idol you choose as long as the golden rule is what’s proliferated.
idolatry run rampant i guess?

i don't think it's a question of WHICH idolatry..
We would be partying like it was 1499. /s
The Orthodox don't do statues, because of their misuse as idols. We do icons. And we don't worship those, we pray to the saints depicted.
What if?
There are no red states, only blue cities that override the rest of the state.
