Yes. Vacation homes used to be CHEAP. Noted that they bought their Florida home for $100,000 something dollars - in today's dollars it would likely be near $350,000-$400,000, much more out of reach for the average person considering the huge increase in property taxes and utilities that have occurred simultaneously to rising home prices as well.
