Student, 14, wins science competition for his soap that treats cancer

Heman Bekele, a ninth grader at W.T. Woodson High School in Annandale, Virginia infused over the counter medicinal soap with three ingredients to make his cancer-fighting bars of soap.

I feel pretty good about today’s teens. I think they are the snap back generation. They’ll need their Gen X grandparents to guide them along but I think they are conservators of the good and rejectors of the bad.

I base my opinion on the works of Strauss and Howe and the Fourth Turning.
