The draft aimed to address a worsening humanitarian crisis in Gaza ....
[of course it did - a humanitarian crisis caused by Israel BTW, by cutting off all supplies and shutting the 'non-borders'. Palestine is NOT a separate country. It is a couple cities within Israel, without even a corridor between them, surrounded by prison-fences. Something that the UN had already decided needed to be rectified - that Palestinians needed a homeland too.
Also, by allowing 'militants' to be killed, by 'condemning HAMAS' (what do you think condemning means), the UN submission is purposefully neglecting to mention that HAMAS was voted to be the leading political party ( only Israel does not recognize that Palestine has sovereignty, and the people cannot therefore have elections), but because the majority voted for HAMAS, it is reason to drop bombs indiscriminately on the entire, captive population]
calling for pauses the violence to allow aid access.
[YEah ,who is bombing the checkpoints again?]
The United Arab Emirates also voted no (as well as Russia and China), while 10 members voted in favor and two abstained.
[making it seem partisan, dammit. Why did the miscreant, anti-humanitarian, and aid-blocking parties disagree with the motion exactly?] I want to at least see the wording of the US 'push' - what are we, as the global population in general, and 'the people' specifically, agreeing or disagreeing with all of a sudden?
At what point can a prison-rebellion be legitimate?
Answer: When women and children are imprisoned for no other reason than having supposedly voted for an opposition party - guilt by association, because in this case, half of them are not old enough to vote. The fit ones, when old enough, have a duty: they should and must escape the regime prison-camp.
This much was inevitable.
In this case, the event was even a raid, not an escape - implying that these guys are the hold-outs - the ardent escapees have had chances to make it to diaspora shanty-towns all over Eurasia in the last 70 years. The illigitimate, Illegal, bad inmates returned to their prison-camp with loot and hostages.
So as a side-note ... those illegally-taken hostages can be hidden in any place in Gaza. Why is Israel bombing, if they could potentially, accidentally kill their own? Oopsie, friendly fire, heh.
Are we expected to count the dead on both sides, according to each sides' propaganda? Are we then supposed to put those dead on a scale, before we decide that there have been enough eyes-for-eyes and teeth-for-teeth sacrifices, how many exponentials do we have to escalate the initial body-count, before we say Enough? Are the war-pigs ever happy, anyway?
Meanwhile the article appears as if there was a secret meeting, behind closed doors, and reported on only by elite, in-the-know think-tankers. It is presented as a battle between superpowers, replete with accusations and insinuations.
In typical fashion, Reuters.
Link to proof?
Trust me bro, they imply.

ME: F*ck off - where's the beef.
