Just got diagnosed with laryngopharangeal reflux or LPR, silent reflux.
Doc wants to put me on PPIs briefly but i dont trust that class of meds.
Any thought or alternative? Looking at alginate containing antacid like Gaviscon

Georges Aloe Vera juice (tastes like water) will help almost immediately. DGL Licorice (not candy) is amazing. Also change ur diet like everyone is saying. Probiotics, sauerkraut, real yogurt, apple cider vinegar, kombucha, go keto, very few carbs, Dr. Gundry’s “Total Restore” is something I take every day. Also Zinc heals your digestive track. It’s well known (funny, no doc ever mentioned that).
I had a similar problem brought on by stress (many years ago). Stomach /intestinal issues too. Suffered for quite a while before I did doctors, three months of tests, big pharma meds…nothing helped. In desperation, called the health food store guy and took his advice.
I was almost completely cured in 24 hours. It was amazing. Realized the medical profession was not my friend. Then found a naturopath doc and never looked back.
Hopefully our professionals will weigh in… u/mac1221
Good luck.
I do take zinc daily
I took some prebiotic today and will see what happens. The alginate antacid has worked so far, it's just the magnesium stuff and no PPIS. I'm only a week into this but I won't do the PPIs
My bed is already elevated 4" and I am going to try diet and lifestyle (eating too close to bed) stuff first. Also I've largely eradicated soda altho sometimes I will drink part of a soda
