I used to be able to hear the subtle differences between woods in violins and classical guitars. Sadly that’s gone now. I hear the scales, but they all sound the same now. Above 8kHz is gone. The tinnitus is constan, and the hearing aides have helped reduce its apparent level, but even with foam plugs it’s a constant companion. It doesn’t mask voices like it used to. So I will call that a win
