The 500FPS advantage of the 22-250 over the .223 does not hurt the situation.
Penetration is the key.
I prefer a a 30 cal range for deer hunting myself, they don't always pose for you.
Has a great advantage in SoDak. Farmland. Gentle rolling hills, shelter belts. Getting close wasn’t that hard. High deer populations and low hunting populations
Wouldn’t work so well in other areas. Here in Utah, unless you own farm land, you need range and a heavier caliber that won’t be easily deflected.
