Did anyone read his book? It was weird. It was all over the place, back and forth in his life, sometimes whiney, sometimes grateful, sometimes excited to help other, sometimes (well, more than sometimes) blaming others. But also small glimpses of a spiritual awakening he had. Did he come to a saving knowledge of God? Then back to a life of hopeless depravity?
Was he evil? Was he MK? (father a model and mother a politician) Why the immense amount of drugs and alcohol? He said he was never satisfied. He said he felt abandoned by his parents divorce. The binges he went on should have killed him many times over.
His quick wit reached a cord to his fans of Friends. But he wasn't that funny, his lines were scripted, after all. Humor is often a defense mechanism. Reminds me of Robin Williams, who was extremely talented and funny, but also deeply troubled.
Crazy world, the actors who are given to us to entertain us. We need to reach out to our people, the ones in our lives who love and accept us, who support us and help us and inspire us, not these fake people on the screens. But I'm preaching to the choir : )
