Derek Webb, lead singer for the band Caedmon's Call, said in a video message that 'as a cis, straight white man' he should 'surrender' his 'incredible amount of advantage and privilege… at the door.'

It made for a better joke, I'm not fond of either.

I see it as using the word is an insult to all men, wearing a dress just makes him look stupid and gay.
