Even though I have a degree in Library Science, I chose not to use it when I saw how much they wanted those types of story hours. I have a magazine from 2013 or 2015 about how to incorporate this in the library setting. It was very unsettling to me.
What was the magazine? Could be a good Red Pill.
Although, I could not find that article. I will look for it further.
However, I found an article from College and Research Libraries News June 2015 issue.
It was called "Past Overdue! Protections for LGBT Americans in the workplace." Author Donna Braquet
Thank you very much, I would love to share that article if yiu ever find it.
I will need to look at this other one too. Thank you again.
I believe the original article I saw was from the early 2010s and the library was in Midwest Kansas? However, I can't find it online, but did you see the ALA site - https://www.ala.org/advocacy/libraries-respond-drag-queen-story-hour.
