I live in (nonmilitary) western NC & I've spent 2-3hrs each day outside walking. for the past 8 years I've seen approximately 0 helos per year but during the past 4 days Ive seen a 2-ship MH60 & a 1-ship MH60- extremely unusual.
I've really only ever seen medical or news helicopters where I live, but lately I've seen police and a couple of military helicopters flying by (quite aggressively too).
It feels very ominous
For the people who have no idea why h60s are of interest, would you please explain?
H60 are Blackhawks and 30-35 is normal so 63 is alot. I know I didn't give a number but that usually means nothing to anyone and everywhere seemed like a better grabber to get attention. Mass Training Exercises or something Habbenin
Thank you for explaining what is normal and why this is newsworthy.
Did the marines cancel their ball for training exercises?
blackhawks
The title should have said blackhawks!
Does it look like they are converging around the larger cities?
Was going to make the same observation. Very few appear to be travelling long distances - just running short circuits near major cities.
I don't know if it means anything but it's definitely interesting.
Some gaps on the shown map: Sacramento, San Francisco, Houston, Austin. Arizona needs a decoration or two, maybe three.
Don't know what that is but you just reminded me of my dream last night, helicopters everywhere, low in the sky, flying crazy, I kept thinking it's a miracle they don't slam into each other.
I dreamed I was behind sand bags when an IED went off
Holy shit in and around Chicago I’ve noticed heavy air traffic thought about making a post, but this is good to see I wasn’t losing it.
Without detailed analysis, this looks like a lot of activity around military/naval facilities...really not sure it has significant meaning
i saw 3 of those osprey planes together the other day .. never seen them here before ( new england coastline)
