..when I feel like I would rather be one of the newly awakened, rather than a tired old war-horse who's seen all this coming for years.
I'd love to have the old energy back, the zeal, the righteous anger.
These days I just want it to be over.
Is it just me? I'll keep going, because that's what we do, but the pep has gone out of me, I feel wrung out.
I have no idea where I would actually go (I'm in the UK).
What if you just go into your garden and plant bulbs that will come up in Spring as a sign of hope for the future. Plant some cold hardy winter crops as a sign of endurance. Take care of anything that needs repairing or winterizing as a sign of readiness, knowing that today is just a day in a season and each season needs to run its course. Consider too the widow or elderly neighbor that might need the pick-me-up a little help in their garden might bring them. God bless you & keep you this season & all those to come.
Those are some powerful words Fren, thanks.
You are most welcome! We all need a fresh wind at times. So happy to help!
Find a good series of books to dive into for a week or two.
That's basically what I'm doing, along with a couple of other things, but it's treading water at best.
